Raise Me From Death

I let my suffering body go loose in deep anguish,
In the twilight hours of a cold December,
Laid my head on an old black stone;
My body inside an open broken coffin,
And kept on groaning & crying under the gulmohor tree…
Years I’ve spent on this beautiful world,
But purity? I’ve ne’er known
Spoilt I beauty, betrayed I trust,
I’ve been a dirty devil till December first…
Now it’s too late, it’s time for me to go,
And it’s only now that I repent,
I’m dying, I’m crying, I’m lying motionless,
But I desire to die pure – at last…
O Sweet Angel, my arms are wide open,
O Good Angel, my lips are wide open,
O Pure Angel, my heart’s still beating, eyes still open,
Hoping to be taken to your warm arms,
Hoping to be refined by your holy kiss,
Hoping to rise again, with the help of your love…
